Islamic teachings on intercourse

Islam is true religion. Islam tells us everything about how to lead a perfect life. Allah has created us, and He knows better what is good for us. Islamic teachings are those instructions that are advised to us by our Lord(Allah). If we want to live a perfect life, we should have to hold the rope of Allah. Here are some instructions from different Hadees about intercourse.

1) One-time intercourse is necessary for a newly married couple within one year.

Yahya informed me that Ibn Al-Musayyab said, "If someone marries a lady and cannot have sex with her, there is a deadline of a year set for him to have sex with her. They are split apart if he doesn't." Reference Book No. 29, Hadees No. 74; Muwatta Malik: 1236; Book No. 29, In English.

2) Dua during sexual activity

Ibn Abbas narrated that once Nabi(S.A.W) said, "If anyone among you, when having sexual intercourse with his wife, says:

اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنِي الشَّيْطَانَ، وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا،

And if it is destiny that they should have a kid, then Satan will never be able to harm him.Reference Bukhari: 5165; Book 67; English volume 7; Book 62; Hadees no. 94.

3) Act after having sex with the wife
Following a sexual act, you are permitted to sleep or eat.

i. Hazrat Ayesha(R.A) reported After having sex, whenever Nabi(S.A.W)  intended to sleep, He did ablution (wazoo) in preparation for the prayer. See Muslim 305 A; Book No. 3; In English; Book No. 3; Hadees No. 597.

ii. Hazrat Ayesha(R.A) reported Reference Muslim 305 B; Book no. 3; In English; Book no. 3; Hadees no. 598. Nabi(S.A.W)  did the ablution (wazoo) for prayer whenever He had sexual contact and intended to eat or sleep.

4) If you have sex a second time that night, you should have to perform ablution (wazoo) each time.

When any of you have had sexual relations with his wife and wish to have the relationship again, you should conduct ablution (wazoo) between them, narrated by Abu Saeed Al-Khudri. Hadees number 220; Abu Dawud; Book number 1; Book number 1 in English.

5) Bathing after sexual activity is obligatory and performed by Prophet Muhammad(S.A.W).

i. Ibn Ma-jah: 610; Book no. 34; In English volume no. 1; Book no. 1, Hadees no 653. As reported by Abu Hurairah(R.A) that Nabi(S.A.W) stated, "When a man sits between the four parts and has intercourse, then a bath is necessary."[Four parts(arms and legs)]

ii.  According to Hazrat Urwa(R.A), who spoke on the authority of Hazrat Ayesha(R.A), when the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) took a bath because of sexual activity, He washed His hands first and then dipped one of them into the basin before performing ablution (wazoo), which is what is done for prayer. Hazrat Ayesha(R.A) Said When Nabi Kareem(S.A.W) took a bath after engaging in sexual activity, He called for a container, grabbed a handful of water from it, washed first the right side of His head, then the left, and then grabbed another handful and poured the water on His head. Reference Muslim: 318; English: Book 3; Hadees: 623; Muslim: 318; Book 3

After that, He would wash His feet before pouring three handfuls of water on His head, the remainder of His body, and finally, His feet. Reference Book No. 1, in English; Book No. 1, Hadees No. 128; Bulugh Al-Maram: 119.

Did He take a bath before sleeping, or did He sleep first and then take a bath? She retorted, "He did all of these," in response.
